Education:
BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University
Background:
I was a validation engineer for cold chain, shipping, and logistics in the pharmaceutical industry starting in 2014, and I started at Project Farma in 2022. While at my previous company I worked with sensitive investigational drug products to determine if their stability, and validated cold chain equipment and processes. I have worked on cell/gene therapies, vaccines, radiotherapies, and small molecule drugs, among many others. Since joining Project Farma I have worked primarily on validating on a manufacturing facility, and helping the client implement process improvements and manage change controls.
What excites you about being a mentor?
I enjoy being able to pass my knowledge on. At my previous company there was no training or mentorship program, and I had to struggle to learn everything. I don’t want anyone to go through that experience if I can help it. There are lots of resources around, but nothing beats having a mentor to guide and help you comprehend what you are learning.
What are you looking for in a mentee?
I am looking for someone who is eager to learn, self-reflective, and ambitious. I also want someone who is willing to ask questions. I am a firm believer that asking questions is one of the best ways to deepen your understanding of just about everything. Plus, questions will challenge me and help me develop too!
Hobbies/Fun Facts:
Pretty much if something is considered “geeky,” it is probably a hobby of mine. Videogames, puzzles, dungeons and dragons, Rubik’s cubes, you can probably fill in the rest. I spend a lot of my free time with my daughter. Recently she has loved the zoo, aquarium, and the Indianapolis Children’s museum.
